EASTERN COLLEGE PARTNERS WITH MASSAGE ADDICT
With the record number of enrollments in Eastern College’s Massage Therapy diploma program, a new classroom has been added to the Halifax campus to accommodate future students.
The classroom will be furnished with new equipment such as massage tables, a hydrocollator, stools, and curtains. The new equipment is being generously donated by Massage Addict, a Canadian owned and operated Massage Therapy company with over 65 clinics across the country – the first of which opened in Halifax in 2008.
“We are extremely honoured to be able to provide the necessary equipment for the new classroom at Eastern College,” said Fraser Clarke, CEO of Massage Addict. “Registered Massage Therapy is an important part of the Canadian healthcare system, and it’s exciting that Eastern College is expanding their program due to increased enrollments.”
The Massage Therapy Diploma program at Eastern will qualify graduates to pursue positions in private clinics, multi-disciplinary clinics, spas, wellness centers, geriatric facilities, as well as self-employment.
“The amount of jobs available for massage therapists has skyrocketed and our partnership with Massage Addict allows them to hire as many of our graduates as they can,” said Frank Gerencser, Chairman & CEO of Eastern College. “There has never been a better time to get an education in massage therapy, and our program will readily prepare students for a bright future in this field.”
