Eastern College Announces New Bursaries to Unemployed Canadians

Moncton, NB – Eastern College announced the launch of three new bursaries to help Canadians who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19. Recently unemployed Canadians in some of the hardest hit sectors of the economy can benefit from the Retail Bursary, the Manufacturing Bursary, and the Restaurant and Hospitality Bursary from Eastern College. These new bursaries will provide new students with up to $1,500 towards their tuition.

“COVID-19 has caused unemployment for a large number of Canadians who are now thinking about new career choices” said Stuart Bentley, President, Eastern College. “We want to help those individuals use this time to train for their new career right away. Many of our Spring programs are starting through remote learning delivery, which allows new students to start their education safely and without delay.”

The three new bursaries will provide new students with savings up to $1,500 based on the length of the program for all programs greater than 25 weeks. Several programs for careers considered to provide an essential service and expected to be highly in demand in the near future are part of Eastern’s program offerings which span across their Business, Healthcare, Law, Supply Chain, Technology, and Art & Design faculties.
